The brief
What the job asked for
Go Vita is a health food and supplies retailer in the Pacific Shopping Centre at Hoppers Crossing — a prime retail position where the tenancy’s job is simple to say and hard to do: make the product look as good as it is, and keep the shopper moving past all of it.
The brief called for a store that reads as fresh and natural the moment you see it from the mall, without the fit-out ever competing with the shelves.
The build
From drawing to trading day
The palette does the positioning: timbers set against a clean white field form a calm, credible background for health retail, while polished concrete grounds the space and takes the centre’s foot traffic without complaint.
Timber feature walls and custom joinery carry the display load — racking, shelving and counters built to the stock they hold rather than bought off a catalogue. Custom lighting pulls shoppers through the store, brightening product zones and keeping the back of the tenancy as alive as the front.
On the record
As built, on the books
The result on record is a bright, refreshing store in a prime retail position — a fit-out that disappears behind its product, which is exactly what it was drawn to do. It stands in the record as the clearest example of retail joinery built around stock, not around the builder.
