Hospitality & Cafe Fit-Outs

Hospitality rooms run on two clocks — front-of-house theatre and back-of-house discipline. We build for both: the brass pendants and the drainage falls.

The approach

A cafe or bar lives or dies on its service line. Coffee station, prep, pass, queue and seating are planned as one flow under pressure, with the services behind them — hydraulics, exhaust, power — resolved before the room is framed.

The portfolio runs from hospital cafes delivered inside 48-hour windows to a neighbourhood bar with commissioned murals. The common thread is materials that earn their look: terrazzo that takes the volume, handmade tiles that lift the room, benchtops that shrug off a knock.

Back-of-house gets the same drawing time as front-of-house. Equipment positions are coordinated with your kitchen supplier, fridges and dishwashers get their services where they actually stand, and storage is planned for the morning delivery, not the floor plan’s leftover corner.

Seating is composition, not arithmetic. Banquettes, screens and table runs are set out so a full room still moves — and a quiet one still feels alive. On the record that ranges from timber screens organising seating for 55 at a hospital entrance to a dark-palette local built around its bar.

Common questions

Do you fit out commercial kitchens?
We deliver the building side of food tenancies — finishes, joinery, services coordination and equipment positioning — working in with your kitchen equipment supplier.
What is the fastest hospitality fit-out you have delivered?
Moira’s Cafe at Canberra Hospital and Grindstone Barber & Barista at Pacific Werribee were both delivered inside 48-hour windows, using off-site preparation.
Can you build unusual formats?
Yes — the Coffee Box was a full coffee bar fabricated inside an ex-shipping container in our Melbourne workshop and delivered to Brisbane.
What does a cafe fit-out usually include?
Counters and service joinery, display zones, seating, storage, wall and floor finishes, and the services coordination behind them — scoped per project, because no two service lines run the same.
Do you coordinate with landlords and building managers?
Yes. Centre management, landlords and building managers are engaged as part of the program — access, hoardings, services sign-offs and trading-hours constraints are theirs to set and ours to build around.
